A native and life-long resident of Swords Creek, he was a son of the late William C. and Martha Peck Richardson. He was a farmer.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ida Altizer of Cedar Bluff, Va., and Mrs. Victoria Fulton of Abingdon, Va.; one son, Bill Richardson of Coleman, Va.; seventeen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Honaker, Va., Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harley Dye and Rev. Allen Stevens officiating.
Burial will follow in Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery at Richlands, Va. Grandson will serve as pallbearers. The body will remain at the funeral home.
