WEST MONROE MAN EXPIRES; FUNERAL HELD ON MONDAY
M. J. Easterling, 45, of 203 Linderman Avenue, West Monroe, died at the family residence Sunday morning, after a long illness. The funeral was held at the Davis-Lawhead funeral home, Monday at 3 p.m. Rev. Crayton S. Brooks, pastor of the First Christian church, officiated. Interment was made in Hasley cemetery.
Mr. Easterling was a member of a well known Ouachita parish family. At one time he was engaged in the grocery business, operating a store near Five Points in Monroe. Ill health caused him to retire from active business and he had lived quietly for the past few years.
Surviving are the widow;

Willeen Easterling

O. A. Easterling of Monroe
Tom Easterling of Monroe
C. W. Easterling of Monroe

Mrs. Fannie Easterling Shell of Memphis, Tennessee
