Dorothy Louise Sholty, 96 of Chenoa formerly of Normal, passed away at 3:45 pm Sunday June 30, 2019.
Her funeral will be at 2:00 pm Friday July 5, 2019 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Normal. Bishop Kyle Price will officiate. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. The visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service on Friday at the Church. Calvert Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy was born January 23, 1923 in Bloomington, the daughter of Henry G. & Elsie M. (Vielhak) Albrecht. She married Ivan Sholty on August 23, 1942 in Bloomington, IL. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2003.
She is survived by 4 children; Judy (James) Olsen, Ellen Bethea, Stephan (Linda) Sholty and Michael Sholty; 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great- Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson, 1 great-grandson, 2 brothers & 1 sister.
Dorothy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well member of the Machinist Union Local 1000 Bloomington, IL.
She love to garden and watch birds in her yard.
