"AGED WOMAN DIES SATURDAY"
"Mrs. Rebecca Anna Limes, Long Resident of Community, Passes Away."
Mrs. Rebeca Ann Limes, 84, a highly respected and well known lady of this vicinity, died at McClellan Hospital in Xenia, Saturday night at 12 o'clock.
Mrs. Limes had been in frail health for a number of years, but seemed much better this summer. Three weeks ago, September 3, she was taken to the hospital for an operation, and it was thought for a time she was getting along nicely, but pneumonia developed; causing her to pass away. The remains were brought to her late home on the Washington Pike Saturday afternoon.
She was before marriage, Miss Rebecca Anna McNeil and she was born in Highland County.
She was united in marriage to Henry Limes, who preceded her in death about 21 years ago.
Three children were born to the union, a daughter, Mrs. Leda Binegar, passed away a number of years ago; a daughter, Mrs. Dora Ross, Jamestown, and a son, Bert Limes, at home survive. She also leaves a grandson, Harold Binegar, of Springfield, and a granddaughter, Miss Dorothy Ross, Jamestown; two half-sisters, Mrs. ALex Blair, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Jesse Stillman, of Kent, and a half-brother, Prof. H. C. McNeill, of Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Limes was the last of a family of eight children to pass to the great beyond.
Mrs. Limes was a member of Jamestown Baptist Church, and was present at the services when her health would permit, and also a member of the W.C.T.U.
Private funeral services were held at her late home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by her former pastor Rev. Robert Allbaugh, of Spencerville, Ohio, with interment in family lot, Jamestown Cemetery.
