Abraham Craun was a farmer and came with his family to Seneca County, Ohio in 1835. He is shown by census and family records as having been born in New Jersey, probably Sussex County as that is where his parents supposedly lived and where his brother John and sister Elizabeth were baptized and recorded at Walpack Dutch Church. After marriage Abraham lived in Franklin County until the early 1830's and later moved to Liberty Township near Kansas where he remained until his death. Source: Eva Shafley Craun, 1957.
