William R. Ibberson
HOUTZDALE — William Roy Ibberson, 55, of Houtzdale R.D., died Sunday morning, Aug. 24, in the Clearfield Hospital following a long illness.
He was born in Osceola Mills on Jan. 23,1920, a son of James and Irene (Burton) Ibberson.
Mr. Ibberson's wife, the former Dorothy Elizabeth Zimmerman, died Sept. 23, 1972.
He is survived by these children: Richard, Ramey; - James, Madera; Roy, Osceola Mills R.D.; Mrs. Robert (Delores) Ferdarko, Philipsburg; Mrs. Mike (Connie) Ferdarko, Houtzdale, and Angela, at home.
Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and four sisters and a brother: Mrs. Elizabeth Baughman, Mrs. Annie Kephart and Thomas, all of Osceola Mills; Mrs. Verna Brown of Californi and Mrs. Evelyn Moore of Tyrone.
Mrs. Ibberson was also preceded in death by his parents.
He was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic and was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW at Osceola Mills.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home in Houtzdale where the Rev. Thomas McCoy will officiate at the funeral Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Brisbin. The Osceola Mills VFW will conduct a graveside military service.
