He was a teacher at the Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School; a 2006 graduate of Millersville University and a 2002 graduate of Redland High School, Lewisberry; and a member of the N.E.A. He attended Grantham Church and was acive with its youth program.
He had recently moved home to help his parenst with house projects. Shawn had a knack for anything with his hands--he fixed cars, patched roofs, shoveled snow, built furniture and enjoyed his mother's cooking.
Shawn started life as a very sick child. With care, he was able to grow up as one of the tallest in his class. He loved sports, and enjoyed anything outdoors; the shooting range, archery, and basketball. His passion was baseball, and he played it from tee-ball to college leval at Millersville University. He adored the Atlanta Braves.
Shawn was the son of Francis A. (Mike) and Linda M. (Gehr) Kelly of Fariview Twp. York Pa. While he had no biological brothers he had many fraternal ones.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his older sister, Catherine "Katie" L. Kelly, Grande Prarie TX, and his maternal grandmother, Vera Gehr, Trout Run, Pa.
A mamorial service will be held at his church, with a burial not mentioned.
