Dessie Bryant, 87, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center.

Dessie was born in Herod, Ill., on April 21, 1929.

On July 23, 1947, she married Paul L. Jensen; they later divorced. On Dec. 31, 1970, she married Charles W. Bryant in Waukegan, Ill.; he preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1993.

Dessie was a long time resident of Kenosha and Racine. She previously was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Kenosha and then St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sturtevant, Wis. She worked many years at Anchor Glass Corp. She was known for her generous spirit, kindness to others, her love of flowers, her garden and of course, her fondness of entertaining and serving wonderful food.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Jensen of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., Barbara Jo (Kevin) Smith of Arlington, Tex., Margaret Kay (Lyle) Ostby of Sussex, Wis., Therese Jensen of Oak Creek, Wis., and Mary Lichtenwalner of Mt. Pleasant, Wis.,; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and her twin brother.

Funeral services will be private. Memorials may be given to a charity of one's choice in Dessie's memory.
