Husband of Sarah Jane Atkinson Hatch.
Stephen Hatch, formerly of this place, died very unexpectedly Friday afternoon at Kaysville of typhoid pneumonia. He had been ailing for some time but kept around thinking he could wear it off. He was up and around the day he died. It is just about a year ago since his wife passed away. He leaves six or eight children orphans.
The remains were brought down from Kaysville by Undertaker John Barton, Monday, and the funeral held in the South Bountiful meeting house at 1:30 p. m. He was forty-one years and one month old. This makes the twelfth head of families in Kaysville and Layton to die within a few months.
