Roy was the son of Newton Franklin Pardue and Elizabeth Ann Gallaway. He married Zona Townsend in October, 1912 in Young County. They were parents of six children: Alvie, Lila Mae, William Oscar, Rayford T., Melvin Franklin and Etta Pearl (Perky).

Services for Roy Pardue, 80, retired Eliasville farmer, were held at Medlan Chapel Primitive Baptist Church officiated by Elder Sonny Pyles and Steve Molnar. Mr. Pardue was a long time member of the Church of Christ.
