Daughter of John Edward and Laura Victoria Ellis Hatch.

STRICKEN IN HER YOUTH

Miss Sarah Hatch, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John E. Hatch
passed away Tuesday.

Miss Sarah Hatch, daughter of John E. and Laura Ellis Hatch passed away very suddenly at the home of her parents in Bountiful, Tuesday morning at 10 minutes to eleven o'clock.

She had always enjoyed the best of health until last winter when she had one or two light attacks of appendicitis. About two weeks ago, she was troubled in the same way. The case became more and more serious until the later part of last week an operation was performed.

She was born in Bountiful where she had always lived and was eighteen years old last November.

She graduated from the eighth grade four years ago.

She was an aid in the Mutual, teacher in Sunday school and an officer in the primary.

The funeral services were held in the South Bountiful Meeting house, Thursday, at 2 p. m. The speakers were Elders George W. Palmer, Israel Barlow Jr. and Pres. J. H. Grant. The attendance was large.

The young ladies mutual in a body walked ahead of the hearse from the residence to the meeting house.

Floral offerings were very numerous. The casket was almost buried with beautiful flowers, and there were a great many besides.

The day school, Sabbath school, Mutual and other organizations each presented a beautiful floral shape. There had never been so many floral offerings at a funeral in that ward since her cousin Albert Hogan's funeral three years ago this coming August.
