Born in Kanawha Station, W. Va., he had lived in the area most of his life, and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber in 1968 with 48 years service.
He is survived by sons, Paul of North Canton, Ronnie of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, Tanya Hastler of Winter Springs, Fla.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Hanna Montgomery of Akron.
