Elliot Alan Boxerbaum was born August 31, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Ben Boxerbaum and Evelyn Ruth Kam. He died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from complications of ALS /Lou Gehrig's Disease. Survived by his wife, Debbie

Elliot graduated from Ohio State University, received his masters degree from Central Michigan University, and graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA.

He was founder, president & CEO of Security Risk Management Consultants, Inc. for 23 years. SRMC provided physical security assessment and design services to national and international clients. He served as Director of Protective Services at OhioHealth for 15 years, Director of Safety and Security at The Ohio State University Hospitals, and as a police supervisor with The Ohio State University Police Department.

He also served as a reserve deputy sheriff with the Franklin County Sheriff's office for 19 years. He was a life member of ASIS International, and meritorious life member of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC.)

He earned professional recognition as a Certified Protection Professional through ASIS and as a Certified Security Consultant through IAPSC. He served on the ASIS Healthcare Security Council for over 20 years and the Physical Security Standards taskforce. He authored numerous articles for security related periodicals and presented on a wide range of security topics both nationally and internationally.

Elliot was an avid digital photographer and acted as technology support to his entire family for computer problems. He shared his technology expertise freely with friends and family. He was a long time member of Worthington's Congregation Beth Tikvah.

Elliot's funeral arrangements were by Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, OH. His memorial was Friday, June 13, 2014. Place of burial unknown.
