Dan 'Danny' J. Harris, age 63, born and raised in Wenatchee, WA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 13, 2019. In his younger years, Dan was all about speed and adventure, and has always had a love for anything with an engine! He tried it all…..everything from barefoot water-skiing, to racing Odysseys on a dirt track, to winning demolition derbys! Dan also worked hard to support his family and was successful in the business world, serving over 20 years in management at Pemco Insurance Company in Seattle, WA followed by managing a local body shop back here in his hometown of Wenatchee for ten-plus years before deciding to retire in June of 2018.

Throughout his life, and especially as he was raising his family, Dan found adventure, peace, and solitude in spending time with his family and life-long friends at the Lake Chelan Yacht Club. This, in turn, gave his children wonderful memories to hold on to from those weekends at Lake Chelan. He took the time to teach them how to enjoy life at the lake; things like water-skiing, knee-boarding, tubing, fishing, driving the boat, driving the golf cart, the “gator” dance, and most importantly how to laugh! He continued all of these teachings and traditions as years went on with his beautiful wife, grown children, and grandchildren, up to the very moment he passed on.

Dan lived life by his rules, without regrets, and wouldn’t have it any other way. But the most important thing to Dan was his role of being a loving and devoted husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend. Papa’s trademark laugh instantly lit up the room, and just hearing it was enough to make his kids, his grandkids, and everyone around him, experience that intense joy of laughter! Dan will be greatly missed, and in honor of his legacy, would want us all to live life to its fullest, and to always make the time to have a good laugh with each other.

......passed on before him: Leroy and Ione Harris, Roberta Hall, Jack Harris, Dennis Harris.
