Jean "Jeanie in the Woods" Catherine Swierzynski, age 82, of Reeseville, passed away peacefully at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek on Sunday, June 9, 2019.
Jean was born on Oct. 24, 1936, in the town of Clyman, daughter of Harry and Ermine (David) Manning. She married James Swierzynski on Sept. 5, 1981, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyman. Jean loved birds and fed them all throughout the year in her various bird feeders. She also enjoyed her flowers every summer and being outdoors on the deck watching the cars go by. Jean worked in a few factories in her early years, but she loved people and found bartending to be her passion. Jean bartended for over 30 years, mostly in the Lowell area, including The Country Tap, Bruce & Donna's and lastly for Pumpkin Center Tap. Throughout the years, Jean made many friends and acquaintances young and old. She had a calendar of birthdays and anniversaries of many patrons and friends and called them into "The Barn Show" on a daily basis. Jean loved to spend time with family, especially her grandchildren, and loved to watch the "Wheel Of Fortune," "Hee Haw" and would never miss listening to Uncle Bill and "The Barn Show" on the Beaver Dam radio station where she actually first met her husband, Jim.
Jean is survived by her loving husband, Jim; was a loving mother to Lisa (Mark) Faltersack of Watertown, Howard (Chris) Vredeveld of Lowell and Jason (Candy) Vredeveld of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Missy (fiancé Josh) Makovec, Bo Vredeveld, Kacy Vredeveld, Taylor (fiancé Clayton) Faltersack, Brett Faltersack, Brandon Vredeveld, Kaden Vredeveld; great-grandson, Jameson Goodma; her sister, Marilyn Lien-Hagen of Stoughton; brothers, David (Maggie) Manning of Clyman and Harry (Jan) Manning of Beaver Dam; brother in-law, John Liechty and many nieces and nephews. She was looking forward to the birth of another great-grandchild next January.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Joan Liechty; sister, Marjorie Gahlman and her husband, Donald; sister, Ruth and infant brother, Henry.
