Mrs. Mary Leslie died after being hit by a car near her home by an 18-year-old youth, fracturing her skull and both legs. She resided in Goose Creek. Survivors included sister, Mrs. Eva Yoama of Pelly; nephews, William Morrison of Houston, Leslie Morrison of Dallas, J. C. Morrison of Carthage, Edwin Cleveland of Goose Creek, Tom Cleveland of Marcoba, South America, James Cleveland of San Francisco; niece, Mrs. Robert Hill of Goose Creek. Services were at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home in Goose Creek by Frank E. Luther. The body was transported to Carthage and services held there in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Hawthorn. She was buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carthage.
