Shryll shared a wonderful childhood with brothers Robert (d. 1990), Paul (d. 1945) and Rex (d. 1997). She was the beloved mother of Diana Weinstein (husband Terry d. 2018) of Bird City, KS, Elden Pettit II (d. 2009), Cora Lee Pettit (partner Cheryl) of Evergreen, and Dwuane Pettit (wife Lisa) of Colorado Springs. She was lucky enough to have found love twice during her life and married Elden Pettit (d. 1964) and Harold Behn (d. 2006). For over 20 years, Shryll dedicated her career to healthcare. Many years were devoted to serving as a volunteer EMT for Evergreen Fire Department as well as working for a physicians’ network serving the greater Denver area. She leaves behind an amazing amount of stuff – that reflects her passion for many things – genealogy, reading, jewelry-making, the Bird City Steam Engine and Thresher Show, God, caring for family and friends and being prepared for a giant blizzard with cases of paper goods. With a fondness for the mountains, Shryll lived most of her life in Evergreen, surrounded by her remarkable volume of stuff and passed away peacefully at home in a place and with people she loved.
