Norma Lee Emerson was born on August 4, 1930, in Maud, TX. and passed away on June 6, 2019, at the age of 88. She was raised in Maud, where she met her high school sweetheart, Bob and married him on December 22, 1951. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from East Texas State University and taught school in her hometown. After Bob joined the Air Force, they moved to Waco, Michigan, Florida and New Mexico. In 1963, they settled in Midlothian, where she raised her three children. In 1965, she began teaching at Midlothian High School. Her subjects included short-hand, typing, and Vocational Education. She was also the cheerleader sponsor and Senior class sponsor and attended many Senior trips with students that loved her. She retired in 1984 and stayed busy enjoying her grandchildren and working with her husband in his development company, Silken, Inc. She was a long time member of the Midlothian Church of Christ. 
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Lou Helms, her husband, Robert Windall Emerson, a sister, Daphne Terrell, and two grandchildren, Clint Kuykendall and Katie Emerson. 
She is survived by her children, Lynn Kuykendall and husband, Sid; Bob Emerson and wife, Keri; Steve Emerson and wife, Sherry; her grandchildren, Justin Emerson and wife, Candace; Bradley Emerson and wife, Sarah; Kaitlyn Breedlove and husband, Kyle; Micah Emerson; Leigh Fields, and husband, Billy; Jake Emerson and wife, Megan; Sam Emerson and wife, Emily; John Kuykendall and Jamie Kirkham; Nicole Lowe and husband, Aaron; Cody Kuykendall and wife, Page; and Tracy McCellan; her great-grandchildren, Ava, Preston, Molly, and Ryan Emerson; Kinsley and Peyton Fields; Presley and Cordell Lowe; Sidney and Emerson Kuykendall; Kirstie, Preston, and Chelsea McCellan; Konner and Kamren Jones; and Camryn and Logan Ray. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
