Constance “Connie” Koch Davlin, 92, of Garland, Texas, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2012. Connie was born on Oct. 22, 1919, in Clinton, Okla., daughter of Harry and Ada Koch. Connie and her husband Greer moved to Marlin in 1960 to own and operate the Palace Café, Lake Inn Lounge, and Connie’s Supper Club. After the restaurant business, Connie worked at the sewing factory and Marlin High School cafeteria. She loved to cook and was always trying to feed everyone. She was a devoted wife, mom, sister, and grandmother.

Connie is preceded in death by her husbands, Greer Davlin and Frank Alford, son Bill Davlin, grandson Randall Davlin, and sisters Winifred Oden and Merrilee Young. She is survived by son Tom Davlin and his wife Cheryl; daughter Elizabeth and her husband Frank Riley; stepdaughters Jan Willard, Judy Woods and Sharon Barnett; stepsons Thomas, David and Mike Alford, grandchildren Diana Ridenhour Darden and her husband Mark, Natalie Riley Seely and her husband Jeremy, David Davlin and his wife Tiffany, Tom Davlin Jr. and his wife Melissa, Gregory Davlin, and many great-grandchildren.

She will always be in our hearts and missed by all of those that loved her. In loving memory of Connie, her service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Aug. 4, at the First United Methodist Church in Marlin.. In lieu of flowers, she wanted contributions to go to the church she loved, First United Methodist Church, 411 Coleman St., Marlin, Texas 76661.
