Warrior of the Azuchi Momoyama period. Nobunaga Oda's third son. Common name is Sanshichi or Sanshichiro. Became an adopted child of Kanbe family, Ise, also known as Nobutaka Kanbe. In 1577, he defeated Jōdo Shinshū Buddhist uprising in Saiga, andIn 1582 he conquered Shikoku. After the honnouji incident, he became lord of Gifu castle, but later he competed with Hideyoshi Toyotomi and his brother Nobukatsu Oda for inheritance problems, and when the Shibata Katsuya who was an ally was defeated, he was pursued and suicided.
