She was born to her late parents Freida S. “Fritz” (Scherfling) and George W. Dunn on February 13, 1939.
She was a 1957 graduate of John C. Birdlebough High School in Phoenix.
Barbara was a pharmacy technician for Wayne’s Pharmacy, and retired from Tops Markets Pharmacy, Fulton, NY.
Barbara was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 173, of the Callimachus Lodge 369, Phoenix.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Ronald E. Gunsalus, on Nov. 21, 2001; her brother, Edward G. Dunn, on Oct. 11, 2004.
Surviving are her daughters, Debra J. (Keith) Caltabiano of Phoenix and Sandra (Greg) Melocik of South Lake, Texas; seven grandchildren, Heidi, Brian, Nicholas, Michael, Meagan, Christini and Jessica; two great-grandchildren, Jabe and Peyton; her sisters, Janet D. (Doug) Farling of Webster and Betty Madison of Baldwinsville; her sister-in-law, Kathy Dunn of Black River; her brother-in-law, Richard (Marilyn) Gunsalus of Phoenix; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday June 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.
The funeral service will be on Friday June 7, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lauri J. Craig officiating. Up
Burial will follow in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St.
