Catherine (Kaye) Stafford, age 93, of Auburn, NE. Passed away Friday, October 10, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Society of Nemaha County, NE. A memorial service for Catherine (Kaye) Stafford will be held Wednesday, October 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Auburn, NE. There will be a private family burial of her ashes at a later date.

Obituary
Catherine Ellen Grant daughter of James W. Grant and Ethel Kelly Grant, was born on April 15, 1915 in Falls City, NE, one of seven children born to this union.
She was raised in Falls City, and graduated from Falls City High School in 1932. She married Bearl Ellis Stafford in 1935. Three sons were born to thi union. Early in there marriage she and Bearl farmed west of Falls City, and then they lived in Beatrice, Wahoo, Iola, KS, and the Chicago area where Bearl was in sales. They moved to Auburn in 1975 and to Phoenix, Arizona in 1990. Bearl passed away in 1993. Kaye’s son Jerry passed away in Phoenix in 1999. She returned to Auburn where she was active in the Auburn Methodist Church and Nemaha County Hospital Auxiliary. Kaye loved to play golf, Bridge, Bingo, and Scrabble. Due to ill health, Kaye entered Good Samaritan Society of Nemaha County in 2007 and it is there that she passed away on Friday, October 10, 2008, having reached the age of 93 years, 5 months, and 25 days.
She is preceded in death by her parents, oneson Jerry , husband Bearl, three brothers Bob, Jim, and Harold Grant and two sisters; Jeanette Clark and Helen Grant and daughter in-law Carol Stafford. She is survived by her sons James and friend Mary of Hopkins, MN, and Burl of Coshocton, OH, four grandsons, Ray, Rick, Rob, and Jim Stafford, 12 great-grandchildren, sister Beverly Hahn and husband, Dick of Auburn, sister-in-law ; Laurie Grant of Lake Forest, CA, Debbie and Walley Novak of Minneapolis, MN, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Hall Funeral Chapel of Auburn is in charge of arrangements.
