Funeral service for Etta Marie McCarley will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with CAPT Stephen J. Shaw of the United States Navy Chaplain Corps officiating.
Burial will follow in Cache Cemetery, Cache, Oklahoma.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 at the funeral home.
Etta Marie McCarley, 76, Lawton passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 in Lawton. Marie was born on July 20, 1942 in Cache to Arvil Lee and Sylvia A. (Boydstun) Gildon. She married Bill McCarley on November 21, 1958 in Lawton. Marie worked at several businesses in Lawton over the years including; Montgomery Ward, Davis Southwest Moving and Storage, Victory Van and Storage, and Ryan’s Moving and Storage where she was the office manager before retiring. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi. Marie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family very much. She was a woman of faith and loved football very much especially the Dallas Cowboys and anything that was related to Oklahoma football whether it was Oklahoma University or Oklahoma State University. You did not disturb Marie while she was watching football games.
Marie is survived by her husband of the home, two children, Bruce McCarley and wife Andrea of Krum, Texas, Amanda Criger and husband Charles of Lawton, six grandchildren, Brandon McCarley and wife Michelle, Danielle McCarley, Ashlee Criger, Gage Criger, Tara Cochran and husband Sean and Tyler Howard and wife Caitlin, seven great grandchildren, Charlie Jane, Hayes, Ramsay, Wyatt, Sailor and Kinsley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Eddie and Emmitt Gildon, a nephew, David Gildon, grandson, Phillip McCarley, great granddaughter, Jayln McCarley and many other family and friends.
