According to the service record for Thomas R. Allison, he enlisted as Sergeant in Company I, 16th Battalion Georgia Cavalry on Feb. 10, 1864 in Jackson county Georgia. This company was composed of men under or over conscription age. Having been increased to ten companies, the 16th battalion was designated 13th Regiment Georgia Cavalry, to take effect from May 2, 1864. His residence was listed as Lawrenceville GA (Gwinett County).∼Georgia 16th Cavalry
