Clarence K. Hunter, 82, Corydon, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.

He was born in Harrison County, Indiana, on May 10, 1925, the son of Albert and Ruby Kiger Hunter. He was a retired owner and operator of the old Hamburger Castle in Corydon and then the Lincoln Hills Restaurant in Corydon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Anna Lea Mattingly and Mardell Rhodes; and two infant brothers.

Survivors include his wife, the former Kathleen Rhodes; a daughter, Pat Durbin of Corydon; a brother, Thomas Hunter of Corydon; two sisters, Dorothy Ernst of Corydon and Josephine Lasley of Bedford; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday, June 19, from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, June 21, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.

Funeral: Thursday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Pfrimmer's Chapel Cemetery east of Corydon.

Officiant: The Rev. Tim Johnson.

Pallbearers: Nick and Austin Durbin, Kenny Hoback, Ralph Wiseman, Roy Cline and Richard Hunter.

The family suggests memorial donations to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville with checks made payable to Children's Hospital Foundation.
