Werden CHARLESTON Wilbur Scott Werden, 83, of Charleston died 11:20 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 14, 1989) in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Harper-Swickard Funeral Home, Charleston, with visitation two hours before services. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.

Mr. Werden was born in Charleston, son of Charles and Grace Werden. He was a retired laborer and member of North Side Baptist Church, Charleston. He married Wilma P. Lykins.

Surviving are his wife; son, Melvin of Morris; daughters, Arlene Chasteen and Denise Stoltz, both of Charleston; Billie Wickman of Morris; stepdaughters, Sharon Narvick and Linda Olsen, both of Morris; Kathy Kenney of Crest Hill; brother, Russell of Charleston; sisters, Mary June Swango of rural Charleston; Berniece Moore of Charleston; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.

One brother and one grandchild preceded him in death.
