Paul L. Burton, 93, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019. He was born to the late Raymond and Ada Burton. Paul was a faithful member of Beck’s Baptist Church for 60 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII in England, France, and Germany. Paul retired from Quality Oil with 45 years of service. Surviving are his loving wife of 71 years, Betty Burton; daughter, Kathy Hall (Tom); son, David Burton (Janet); six grandchildren: Amy Dixon (Brandon), Michael Hall (Brooke), Andrew Hall (Meghan), Katie Hicks (Ben), and Kristi Burton; seven great-grandchildren: Camryn and Casey Dixon, Jackson and Lucas Hall, and Sloane, Burton, and Maeryn Hicks. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Beck’s Baptist Church with the Rev. TJ Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beck’s Baptist Church, 5505 Becks Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 or to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the Palliative caregivers for their loving care.
