NEOGA, Ill. - Mrs. Mabel B. Carruthers, 69, of near Neoga, died at 5 a.m. today at the Singiser Nursing Home, Sullivan, where she had been a patient one year.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gaskill Methodist Church northwest of Neoga, with burial in Gaskill cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at the Swengel funeral home here.
Mrs. Carruthers was born May 24, 1894, in Shelby County, the daughter of Andrew W. Bauer and Francis Baumgarter Bauer. She was married to Ralph Carruthers Aug. 21, 1918, at Springfield. She was a member of the Gaskill Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, a patient at the Cunningham Nursing Home, Mattoon; a son, Warren, McGuire Are Force Base, N. J., and her mother, of Sullivan.
