​ Dannie Lee Blevins, 70, Galena, Missouri was born January 11, 1949 at Oakland, California to Rufus Howard and Icey Atchison Blevins and departed this life January 15, 2019 at his home.
Dannie joined the Marine Corp august 1967, after basic training he was sent to Vietnam. He was awarded three purple hearts and a Presidential Citation. Dannie was a hard working carpenter from mobile home repair to outdoor decking to installing cabinets and counter tops. He was known as the fixer in this area because of ability to make unhappy customers happy. He loved teaching his craft to his children and grandchildren. Dannie loved people and never met a stranger. He was always working hard to provide for his family and to be able to help others. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.
In 1969 Dannie met and married the love of his life Patricia Albertson.
Proceeding him in were his parents; a daughter, Rachel Gilmore and a sister, Barbara Youngblood.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of the home; daughters, Deborah Huey of Galena, Amanda Coates of Galena, Ashleigh Higly of Reno, Nevada and Danie Thornton of Galena; three sisters, Dorothy Faucett of Spokane, Missouri, Sondra Bryant of Highlandville, Missouri and Brenda Curtis of Blue Mound, Kansas; two brothers, Bill Blevins of Mansfield, Texas and Tim Blevins of Justin, Texas; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Burial was at the Yocum Pond Cemetery Reeds Spring, Missouri.
