FLOYD OLEN TIPPIT was born on 24 June 1904 in Oklahoma to Thomas Jefferson Tippit & Celie Chennault.

Floyd was first married to Pastola Green, and they had ONE daughter of record:

Dorotha Inez Tippit-Chatham (1926 - 2002).

Floyd's second marriage was to Jewel Lilly Wornick on 02 December 1932 in Harris County, Texas, and they had ONE son of record:

Troy Ray Tippit (1934 - 2001).

Floyd Olen Tippit, born 24 June 1904 in Hugo, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, October 15 at 3:15pm in Charter Hospital in Cleveland, Texas. He made his home in Rye, Texas. Survived by his wife Shirley; son and Daughter-in-Law Troy R Tippit and Murt of Willis, TX; one daughter and Son-in-Law, Dorothea and Norwood Chatham of Houston; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great- great-granddaughter; one sister, Clara Carnathan of Porter, TX; a number of nieces and nephews. He was with the Houston Police Force for several years. Also, served in the U S Navy during World War II, owner and operated several restaurants around and in Houston. He donated his body to Baylor Medical College.
