This stone is documented in Allen Stratton's History of Al burgh, Vermont (1986). Catherine was the wife of Amasa M. Curtis. She died at age 35 years, 4 months.

Note that the attached death record statues that it is for Amasa, but is for a female. Amasa was still living in Alburgh in 1860 with a second wife Rosina and several children, so this death record would seem to be for Mrs. Amasa Curtis. Amasa and Rosina eventually removed to Stockholm, NY where he died on 10 Sep 1908.

Amasa and Catherine married on 7 Jan 1847 in Lacolle, QC (Drouin Collection, marriage record). They had two children, Lebbeus and John.
