Brinley Kai Barrera, 2 years old, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

Brinley was born on March 12, 2017 to parents Sierra Soliz and Kenith Barrera in Corpus Christi, Texas.

During her short time here on Earth, she touched many lives and was loved deeply by her family and friends of the family. Brinley was such a happy child who loved dancing, smiling, eating, sleeping, and many other things. She loved watching her movies; her favorites were Lilo & Stich, Moana, Coco, and Spirit. When her favorite songs came on she smiled, her long lashes and colored eyes catching your attention in a second! Recently she discovered that she loved bubble baths! She would blurt out “Mr. Bubbles, Mr. Bubbles!” and was excited to help mix the bubbles in the water and enjoy her bath.

No one knew or was prepared for Brinley Kai to leave so soon. She lived the best 2 years of her life surrounded by the best of people. Now, she is flying high with the angels, watching over us. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers, she is always with us in everything we do, and we will certainly see her again one day!

Brinley Kai is survived by her parents, Sierra Soliz of Robstown, Texas and Kenith Barrera of Alice, Texas; her maternal grandparents, Tammy and Stephen Soliz of Robstown, Texas; her paternal grandparents, Juan and Olga Barrera of Alice, Texas; her maternal great-grandparents; her aunts and uncles, Gabriel and Roxanna Carrillo of San Antonio, Texas, Louis Barrera of San Antonio, Texas, Serena Soliz of Robstown, Texas, Stephen Soliz, Jr. of Robstown, Texas; her cousins, Alexandra and Addison Carrillo of San Antonio, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Pete Elizardo as celebrant. Interment will follow at Alice Cemetery in Alice, Texas.
