MRS. LAFFERTY DEAD

Mrs. Grace Lafferty died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Brown, 2614 Sherman avenue, Sunday evening of tuberculosis. She is survived by her husband, D. J. Lafferty, a conductor on the Union Pacific railroad, and her father and mother. The funeral will be held this morning at 10 o’clock from the residence to Forest Lawn cemetery.

CONDUCTOR LAFFERTY LEFT ALONE IN WORLD

Demise of Wife Following That of His Father and Sister in Year – Two Children Previously.

E. J. Lafferty, one of the best known and best liked freight conductors on the Union Pacific, is left practically alone in the world by the death of his wife, who succumbed to an attack of consumption, and whose funeral was held yesterday morning from the People’s church, with burial at Forest Lawn. He is an Elk and three conductors were pallbearers, the other three being Vincent Kenney, Harry McClure and W. F. Kortlang of the lodge.

Mr. Lafferty’s father, resident in Pueblo, Colo., died less than a year ago, his sister passed away at this city last August and now his wife is taken away. Prior to her death they lost their two children.
