"Ira and Marie Manross - An Oil City couple, Ira and Marie Manross, residents of the Oil City Presbyterian Home and formerly of 265 Euclid Ave, Oil City, died within just a little over 12 hours of each other. Mrs Manross, 90, died at 12:25 pm Monday in the Presbyterian Home while Mr Manross, 93, died at 1 am today in the Oil City Area Health Center. Double funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday in the Morrison Funeral Home, Oil City, with the Rev John Stevenson, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Oil City, officiating. Mr and Mrs Manross who were married in 1911, will be buried in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will received friends in the Morrison Funeral Home......IRA N MANROSS - Ira N Manross was born in Seneca, Aug 19, 1891, a son of William and Etta Manross. He was retired from National Fuel Gas where he worked as a foreman in the garage. Mr Manross was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Oil City. Surviving are a granddaughter, Carol Lynn Rhodes, and two great-grandchildren, Christie Lynn and Brent Rhodes, all of Denver, Colo; a daughter-in-law, Mrs John (Grace) Weiser of Oil City; and a brother, William Manross of West Virginia. A son, DeWayne Manross, is deceased."
