She was born in Manassas, VA on February 25, 1941, daughter of the late Ray E. Wood and Annie V. Keys Wood. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Allen Beavers.
Survivors include her children Debra K. Jones, Roy Allen Beavers, Jr., and Karen S. Whitlock; her brother Dennis Wood, her sister Martha Jenkins and by her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6-8 PM. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Woodbine Baptist Church Cemetery.
