Powers is laid to rest by his 1st wife Isabella Scott, who died about a month and week due to complications in child birth. They lost a baby daughter the day she was born on 3/19/1938. Infant is next to them as well and they all reside on the Day family area in this Cemetery. After the death of Isabella, Powers married Thelma Trosper. She was expecting their child when Powers was shot. His Niece Barbara was a tot (daughter of Green Day) and was sitting at Powers feet with her arms around his legs. They were out on the back of house eating watermelon with his mom Louisa Ledford Day. A neighbor was in a fight with his spouse and shot a gun and this shot hit Powers. Powers daughter was born without ever knowing her father. Her name is Louella P Day. From this story, Barbara Day is the only one left here on earth.
