Danny Wayne Lamb, age 69, of Hurricane, UT (formerly of Springville, UT) passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 28, 2018 after a short battle with liver disease.

Danny was born in Spanish Fork, UT on November 8, 1948 to Don Wesley, and Dora Jensen Lamb. After graduating from Springville High in 1967, Danny joined the Marine Corps serving from 1968-1970. Danny worked with various law enforcement agencies throughout the Los Angeles area from 1970-1977. Danny received two Associate Degrees, one from Utah Valley Technical College, and the other from Utah State University. He retired from Geneva Steel in 2001 after 22 years of service. Danny was married to Pam Childs from 1976-1979. Danny met his wife Carolyn Sumsion Allan in 1989. The two were married in 2009 and were together until his passing.

Danny’s greatest passions in life were baseball, golf, camping, and fishing. He loved to coach and took a lot of pride in teaching kids the way the game should be played. Danny was never afraid to speak his mind, but this was one of the qualities that made him such a good coach. Prior to moving to Hurricane, he could be found every Wednesday through Sunday at Hobble Creek Golf Course. On any given day, a baseball game or golf match was on Danny’s TV. He enjoyed the outdoors and was never without his dogs. Danny’s four legged companions where always close by, and considered family.

Danny is survived by his wife Carolyn of Hurricane, UT, sons Richard (Brooke) Lamb children, Hope, Zion, Isabella, Promise and Haven of New Zealand; Glen (Stephanie) Van Dyke of Lake Tahoe; step son Christian (Elizabeth) Allan, children, Taylar (Hope) Allan, Tyler (Kelli) Billings, Brenton, and Tanner Billings of Louisiana; and one great-grandchild Bennett Allan. His siblings, Larry (Debra) Lamb of Springville; Jay (Sandra) Lamb of Springville; Eldon Lamb of Springville; and Marlene (Ken) Looser of Goshen. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Linda, and brother-in-law Karl Schmensky.

All are welcome to join in a celebration of Danny’s life. This will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Hobble Creek Golf Course (94 Hobble Creek Canyon, Springville UT).
