Barbara Bishop Werden, 87, passed away at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2007, at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Center in Urbana.
Barbara was born September 18, 1919, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Kenneth Ray and Philena (Clymer) Bishop. She married Robert Werden on March 3, 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Philena B. Werden and her niece, Beverley Werden Wilson.
Mrs. Werden was a member of the Mattoon Trinity Episcopal Church, and served on the Altar Guild, was a member of the Mattoon Golf Country Club, Champaign Golf Country Club and Kappa Kappa Gamma.
