Vernon Bozarth was born on April 5, 1942. Vernon and his parents Glen and Thelma Bozarth with his sister Betty Boise lived on the family farm west of Laverne, Oklahoma during his school years. Vernon graduated from Laverne High School in 1961. After graduation, he joined the US Army. During his 6 years of military service, he achieved the rank of a drill sergeant.

Vernon enjoyed riding motorcycles and rebuilding Ford cars (never a Chevrolet)! He was employed by Bob Selman construction which was located in Woodward, Oklahoma. While residing in Woodward, he met and married Pearl Dodd in 1965. They became parents of Ted Bozarth and Tami Widick. He is survived by his wife Pearl Bozarth, son Ted Bozarth and his fiancé Larri Bishop and her children Maci Bishop, Brooke Bishop, and Jared Bishop, and daughter Tami Widick and her boyfriend Brad Williams, and grandchildren Mercedes Frizzell, Tanner Bozarth, Devin Widick, and Bailie Widick. He is preceded in death by his parents Glen and Thelma Bozarth and sister Betty Boise and best friend David Bozarth. As well as other families.

In the year 1990 Vernon and Pearl started their own heavy equipment business. He operated bulldozers, cranes, scrapers, road graders and excavators. He loved building ponds, terraces, roads, and oil well locations.
Later in his life, at his home with his wife Pearl and a friend, Vernon, through prayer, invited the Lord into his life. With his parting thoughts to his family and friends, Vernon would like for you to know “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, and He will direct your paths.”

I cannot come to you, but you can come to me. Be of good cheer, I will see you later.
