Funeral services for Drumright resident, Donald R. Robinson, were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 in the Drumright River of Life Christian Center. Pastor Kevin Vogele officiated along with Pastor Brian Bias of Victory Church in Mannford. Interment followed in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors provided by the United States Army. Donald Ray Robinson was born in Drumright, Oklahoma on September 17, 1937 to the late James Wayne Robinson & Bessie Violia (Frankin) Robinson. He passed from this life suddenly at his residence on May 6, 2019 at the age of 81 years, 7 months, & 19 days. Donald was raised & educated in Drumright. He married Lela Pearl Creekmore on November 24, 1958 & they made their home in Drumright. He joined the United States Army in 1960, served during the Vietnam War, & was honorably discharged in 1966. He returned to his wife & family in Drumright & went to work for the Quapaw Rock Crusher. He retired as an explosive technician in 2003. Donald was a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, & being outdoors. He loved spending time with his family & grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a SON: Randy Robinson; BROTHERS: Bobbie – Nolan – D. – Jimmie - & Dale; & a SISTER: Wanda.
