Mrs. Martha J. Klontz
Mrs. Martha Jane Klontz died Thursday, June 26, 1913, at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Vida Cottrell, of Chicago. Deceased was 71 years, 3 months and 10 days of age. She was born in Delaware, Ohio, in the year 1842. She lived there until she was fourteen years of age, then coming to this county, where she has lived continually until the past year, which she has lived with her granddaughter in Chicago......Deceased was married to Adam Klontz, January 1st, 1865, and was well known in this community. Mr. Klontz died March 13, 1907. One daughter was born to them, Mrs. Ella V. Brundage, wife of A. C. Brundage of this city, who passed away March 23, 1912......Deceased leaves to mourn her loss four brothers, John and William of McConnell, Joseph of Osage, Iowa, George of Minnesota, two sisters, both residing at McConnell, Mrs. M. Shippy and Mrs. Victor Solace, and four grandchildren, Mrs. Vida Cottrell, Mrs. Cecil Heckle of Chicago, and Frank and Leslie Brundage of Freeport, also one great grandson, Master Chapman Cottrell of Chicago......The funeral will be held at the U.B. church, McConnell, at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon.
