Connersville - Lucy Venable, 82, 1209 W. 10th St., died Saturday evening in Fayette Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was a native of Owsley County, Ky., and had lived in the Connersville community 30 years. She was a member of the Western Avenue Baptist Church.
Suriviors include her husband, Fred. L. Venable, whom she married in 1921; one daughter, Bobbie Barrett of Connersville; one brother, Green Smith of Owsley County; one sisters, Martha Addison of Beattyville, Ky.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
An infant daughrer and an infant son and another son, James Walter, two brothers and four sisters are deceased.
Funeral services for Lucy Venable will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Showalter-Blackwell, Myers Chapel with the Rev. J. R. Jones of Western Avenue Baptist Churhc officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and before the service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
