Lorraine K. Lightcap, 98, of Rockford, passed away on February 13, 2019. She was born on April 4, 1920, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Elmer and Frances (Hansen) Klebert. She married James B. Lightcap on August 8, 1942; he predeceased her on January 30, 1994. Lorraine was a member of Bethesda Covenant Church where she worked as a secretary from 1968 to 1977. She was a member of the church choir and Bethesda Covenant Women. Lorraine also was a member of Rock River Valley Needlework Guild, Potpourri Garden Club, Mendelssohn Club, and Rockford Symphony Guild. Survived by son, Brian Lightcap; daughters, Mergie (Lou) Brandt, Peggy (Brian) Gulcynski, Jane (Steven) Call; and Cynthia (Ralph) Powell; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband, James; brothers, Glenn and Charles; and daughter-in-law, Christine Lightcap.
