December 18, 1942 - December 20, 2019
Linda Joyce Cato, age 77, of Hayden passed away at the home of her son in Corner on December 20, 2019. She was born December 18, 1942 in Trafford to Ralph Tobie and Gladys Lee Aaron Cato. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mancil Tobie Cato. Survivors include her daughter, Kim Lynette Self Hughes (George) and her son, Terrell Martin Self (Cheryl); five grandchildren, Christopher Self (Emily), Candice Self Hodges (Colby), Joshua Self (Stephanie), Jessica Hughes Paulino (Vinnie), and Kyle Hughes (Catherine); nine great grandchildren; and a host of friends. Linda was a loving and generous mother and grandmother who spent the last few years involved in a quilting and sewing ministry at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Visitation will be Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery.
