Funeral services for E. C. "Jake" Knight will be 11 a.m. Friday at Chaney's Funeral Chapel with Dr. Mike Seitz officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery under the direction of Chaney's Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be the Scottish Rite Rose Croix. Honoaries: Buck Conner, James Hewitt, B. R. Dobson, Leonard Webb and Lee Doumany. Knight was born Dec. 18, 1907 at Pittsburg. He and Jaunice Settel were married Sept. 4, 1970 at McAlester. He was a coal miner in the Pittsburg area and had worked in awning construction for 25 years in Lubbock, Texas. During World War II he served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of McAlester, McAlester Scottish Rite Consistory and Blue Lodge of Wilburton. Survivors include his wife Jaunice Knight of the home; two brothers, Lynn Knight of Sand Springs and Duncan Knight of McAlester and several nieces and nephews.
