John "Jack" R. Buckmaster, born November 7, 1928 in Lansing, MI, passed away May 18, 2019. Jack was retired from General Motors; served in the Korean Conflict for 7 years in the Navy. He also had a TV repair business for several years. He enjoyed going to Bass Lake in Pentwater and traveling out west.

People loved Jack's humor and gentleness. He was a devoted Christian and his strong faith led him to share his faith through prison and street ministries. He was a long term member of Delta Mills United Methodist church.

Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ada May, daughter-in-law Michelle Buckmaster; granddaughters Lindsey (Ryan) Scott and Chelsey Buckmaster, and a great granddaughter, Nova White. He was preceded in death by his son John and brother Richard Buckmaster and parents John "Buck" and Irene Buckmaster.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with Military Honors to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. For those wishing, memorial contributions can be made to Delta Mills United or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.
