Mrs. Lily Watson, age 96, of Bryan, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 19, 2019. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 23, at 11a.m., at College Station City Cemetery. (2530 Texas Ave South, College Station, Texas). A visitation will be held at Callaway Jones Funeral Home in College Station Wednesday, May 22, from 3-5 p.m.. (3001 South College Ave, Bryan, Texas).

She was born December 4, 1922 in Brazos County, daughter of the late James Cooper Carll and Edna Todd Carll. Lily worked at Texas A&M University, and later as the President of First Federal Savings and Loan, where she retired in 1991.

Lily was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Joseph Watson and brother, James Carll of College Station.

Lily will be forever remembered by her family, and is survived by son, L.J. Watson of Friendswood, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Watson of Los Angeles, California; Megan (Watson) Van Dusen and husband Darin of Garden Ridge, Texas; grandson Steven Watson and wife Amber of New Braunfels, Texas; Donovan Watson of Friendswood, Texas; nine great grand-children and beloved nephew, Edwin Carll of College Station. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
