Earl F. Atkins of Semmes, AL. passed away peacefully on May 21, 2019 at the age of 83. He was surrounded by his wife and children at home. Mr. Atkins was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Born in Walker County, Alabama, Mr. Atkins moved to Mobile, where he worked at International Paper Co. for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Eldred, Nep, and Buehl, his sister; Ella Bell, and his grandson; Matthew. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara, two sons; Alan (Ella) and Michael, one daughter; Deborah (Jimmy,) five grandchildren; Joshua (Sara), Johnathan (Libby), Emily, Mary, and James, four great grandchildren; Sophia, Charlotte, Kyleigh, and Lilly, and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home on May 24, 2019, at 1:00 pm. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
