Darthula Olivia Miller Bradford was the daughter of Pleasant M. Miller, Chancellor of the new Chancery Court in Knox County, TN and Mary Louisa Blount, daughter of Governor William Blount of North Carolina. On September 16, 1824, she married Alexander Blackburn Bradford, at the time a Jackson, TN lawyer and later first district attorney of west Tennessee. They had three children: Malvina, who died as a young girl; Mary, wife of Edward W. Upshaw; and Darthula, wife of Henry E. Williamson.
