John A. Alexander married Sarah Annette "Netty" Creel 28 Aug 1809 in Fauquier County, Virginia. John and Netty had at 10 children: William M. b.1809, Elizabeth b.1812, Catherine b.1814, David b.1816, Richard H. b. 1818, Martha b. 1823, Mary Ann b.1825, George F. b.1832, Susan b.1835 and Annette b. 1836.
John's DNA Haplomarker's are R1a1. Both FTDNA and Ancestry DNA Logarithm tests have now confirmed that John A. is the son of William Alexander and Dorcas Haynie.

Rigby Alexander left Northern Virginia after the 1834 taxes were assessed. John Alexander and Netty Creel remained in Loudoun County, Virginia consistently paying Taxes from 1810-1850. In 1853, when John and Netty's youngest daughter married, they lived in Loudoun County, Virginia".
John A. Alexander married Sarah Annette Creel. She did NOT marry John Rigby Alexander.
